UZH hosts EU delegation
UZH welcomed ambassadors and representatives from EU embassies to Switzerland on its premises. The EU delegation held its regular meeting and later met with UZH President Michael Schaepman and Zurich’s Minister of Education, Silvia Steiner.

UZH fosters close ties to European partners
UZH highly values this exchange, especially at a time when Switzerland is increasingly politically isolated from the EU. „Our European partners remain an upmost priority for us, and it is important to us that our students and staff think, act and grow within a European context that fosters curiosity, free debate and independent thinking“, underlines Michael Schaepman.
In 2022, this endeavor led to the new membership of UZH in the European University Alliance “Una Europa” – in addition to other existing partnerships across Europe and network membership in LERU.
