Open Call: Radically New Solutions for a More Sustainable Urban Future

Swissnex in San Francisco, in celebration of their 20th anniversary, invites forward-thinking individuals in the fields of food, energy, and physical and digital cities from the UZH research community are invited to submit their projects for a program taking place from 7 to 9 November 2023, in San Francisco.

Under the theme “20 years past and forward: Metropolis – sustainable futures under construction” the program aims to facilitate knowledge-sharing, collaborations, and partnerships among forward-thinking individuals from Switzerland and the West Coast. UZH researchers are invited to submit their research projects and get to opportunity to showcase their research in the Bay Area in California! 

Selected participants will have the opportunity to benefit from the following: 

  • Support: Receive tailored support and a program designed to enhance the growth and impact of your project. Gain access to a network of mentors and industry experts in the Bay Area and beyond, providing valuable guidance and expertise.
  • Visibility: Showcase a project to a wide range of stakeholders and gain international exposure. Maximize visibility through media coverage in both ecosystems, amplifying the impact of the work.
  • Network: Connect with like-minded individuals, potential partners, and industry leaders to foster collaborations. Expand networks in Switzerland and the Silicon Valley, creating opportunities for future partnerships.
  • Financial Support: Selected projects will receive a CHF 3,000 stipend to cover flights and housing costs for participants, easing financial burdens and ensuring full participation.
